When you were child, did you have a favorite picture book？I have a favorite book from old days. This is "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" The picture book was written by Eric Carle. The setting is the world of the insect. A green caterpillar was born from an egg on one piece of leaf, the story began. The beginning of the story is not sad interestingly either. Because only the caterpillar continued eating a lot of food all the time. So there are no conflicts and serious problems. However surprising ending wait for us!
When I read it for first time, Icould understand why this picture book is loved all over the world. In addition bto the charm of this picture book, children can learn many name of food and how to count number with the grouth of the green caterpillar.
So I recomend you read The Very Hungry Caterpillar. You will love this picture book if you do so.

Hi! I also love picture books which are written by Eric Carle!! The pictures Eric Carle draws are amazing!!;) When i was teaching Englsih for kids at elementary school, i used to use the picture books such as,"The Very Hungry Caterpillar", "My Very First Book of Colors", "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" and so on.
I have some these picture books in English. If I had my baby in future, I want to read it in English to my baby.;) haha
My kids have this book and they like it, too!
I used to read a book "Guri to Gura" when I was a child.
Now,I'm taking a class "English for kids" and I searched many picuture books includin the book" the very hungry caterpiller"
I like the "Irozukai"!(sorry,I don't know how to say in Englih)
